PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnification display apparatus using a digital camera at a low cost and permitting downsizing. SOLUTION: The magnification display apparatus is provided with a slide plate 2a at its lower end so as to be slidable on a book (a), and comprises: a support member 7 for supporting a magnification optical system unit 6 including a magnification lens 22 to magnify a display object (b) of the book (a); the digital camera 8 fitted to the support member 7, for imaging the display object (b) magnified via a magnification optical system unit 6 and converting the image into a digital signal; a support leg 9 for maintaining the support member 7 in a stood upright state; and a monitor 11 connected electrically to the digital camera 8 and for displaying image data sent from the digital camera 8 as an image. The digital camera 8 and the monitor 11 on market can be available for the magnification display apparatus. Since the magnification display apparatus is provided with the magnification optical system 6, it is possible to locate the digital camera 8 at a position not giving hindrance to a user.
