<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device for a vehicle for displaying a display image wherein a lack of imaging data generated by shift of a dead angle is covered. <P>SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a synthesis part 21 for synthesizing the whole image around the vehicle from imaging data around the vehicle imaged by a plurality of cameras 1 provided on the vehicle, a conversion part 22 for converting the synthesized whole image into a projection image projected onto a projection plane overlooked obliquely from a prescribed viewpoint over the vehicle, a superimposing part 23 for reading out graphic data 33 of the vehicle for expressing stereoscopically the vehicle viewed from the same viewpoint, an superimposing the data on the projection image to thereby generate the display image, and a display 4 for displaying the display image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
