PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain an excellent image display high in degree of freedom. SOLUTION: A display unit 11 is formed by using a receiving part 13 for receiving a radio signal and outputting an image signal, a signal processing part 14 for creating a display driving signal based upon the image signal outputted from the receiving part 13, and a display part 17 for displaying an image based upon the display driving signal. A plurality of display units 11 are used to constitute an image display area on the display part 17 of each of the plurality of display units. In accordance with the display part 17 of each display unit comprising the image display area, a display image is divided into a plurality of partial images, and a transmitting signal for displaying the partial images on each display part 17 is outputted as the radio signal, received by a receiving antenna 12 and supplied to the receiving part 13. By using the radio signal, the number or locations of the display units is easily changed to display the image with the high degree of freedom. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
