摘要 The invention relates to a phosphor screen of a cathode ray tube (CRT) which comprises on an inner surface of a CRT panel (11), in addition to a reflective metal back layer (15), an additional reflective metal layer (13), which covers a structured black matrix layer (12) providing a one-sided reflective film. Light generated by phosphor (14) located above the black matrix (12) will be reflected by the reflective layer (13) instead of being absorbed by the black matrix (12) as would occur for a conventional CRT without this reflective layer (13). Thus, the absorption of emitted light is decreased leading to an increase in the total amount of emitted light and improved luminance and contrast performance (LCP). The invention also relates to an inexpensive method of manufacturing a said phosphor screen. In addition, the invention relates to a CRT comprising said phosphor screen.
