摘要 A prior art support rod made of carbon fiber-reinforced carbon for holding SIO2 bodies is composed of a number of cylindrical partial pieces (1; 5), which are arranged in the direction of a longitudinal axis (17) and are joined to one another by means of a screwed connection. For effecting the screwed connection of two adjacent partial pieces (1; 5), the end of the first partial piece (1) is provided with an external thread that engages in an internal thread (3), which is formed in a threaded bore of the second partial piece (5). The first partial piece (1) is provided with a contact surface (12), which is located on the face and rests against a supporting surface (10), which is also located on the face after having been shaped on the edge of the threaded bore (7). The aim of the invention is to improve the prior art support rod so that it can be economically produced even when having long lengths while simultaneously satisfying high strength requirements. To this end, the invention provides that the supporting surface (10) is provided in the form of an outer cone against which an inner cone rests with a force component acting in the direction of the longitudinal axis (17).
