The device has a reciprocating pivoted arm (13) fitted at its free end with a brush roller, rotated about its longitudinal axis via a drive motor (16). The brush roller has an asymmetrical cross-section relative to its radial symmetry axis perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, with 2 conical side sections with differing cone angles and a cylindrical central section. The pivoted arm can be attached to a parallelogram linkage frame (12,12') incorporating a tension spring (17) and a contact device (18) for operation of the brush roller drive motor.
