Each LED (4) has its own lens (7). The lenses are positioned side-by-side and may be molded in transparent plastics. The LED's are mounted on a stepped-profile circuit board (5). Opaque covers (16) are positioned between individual lens elements. The LED's are engaged by hooks (12) to the rear of the lens elements. There is a space (2) between the lens assembly and the lamp glass (3) which may act as a lens to refract the emitted light rays.
