The flexible cable link has the electrical cable enclosed by a flexible protective mantle (11,12), e.g. a metal coil spring or a corrugated hose, provided with a head piece (13,14) at both ends, for securing the protective mantle to a stationary frame and a relatively pivoted door or window panel. The protective mantle contains a tension-resistant elongate security element (15), e.g. a cord or wire, for preventing removal or damage to the cable link.
