A repeating device installed in a mobile unit informs to a mobile communication network the identification numbers of all the mobile communication terminals belonging to it along with its own identification number to enable collective updating of the position registration area information of these mobile communication terminals. The repeating device receives a general inquiry request in which inquiry requests to a plurality of belonging mobile communication terminals are collected, re-constructs the received general inquiry request, and can send inquiry requests to respective mobile communication terminals belonging to itself.
