A hands-free voice device (HFVD) (1) with an antenna (8) has a power supply connection (5), a microphone (4) and a mobile telephone (MT) holder designed as an adapter (3). Inside the HFVD there is a transmitter (6) with a tuning unit for transmission frequencies. The HFVD transmits incoming signals on the MT to a radio via the transmitter. An Independent claim is also included for a hands-free device for carrying out the method of the present invention.
