The apparatus has a laser (1) with a beam deflected by a mirror (4) and focused at the sample target cell (7) on the sample table (6). Images are taken by a camera (13), linked to a monitor (14) and an image processing unit (15). The cellular membranes are opened with multiple laser pulses in the micro Joule range or a smaller transient for the molecular transfer. A pulsed laser beam in the near infra red range is used with a pulse width in the femtosecond range, each at a sub-micro spot for a duration of at most1 second. The laser pulses have a pulse frequency in the MHz range or higher.
