COLOR SYNCHRONIZATION METHOD AND COLOR LASER PRINTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color synchronization method and a color laser printer which can realize accurate color synchronization to thereby improve the quality of color image.

SOLUTION: The color laser printer which forms an electrostatic latent image on a photosensitive body with a laser scanning unit and develops and transfers the formed electrostatic latent image to a transfer belt to form a color image comprises a light source which emits light, a timing belt which rotates the photosensitive body, many timing display parts which are provided at specific intervals on the timing belt and on which the light emitted by the light source is made incident, and a light receiving part which detects light reflected or transmitted by the timing display parts. Synchronization for every color is controlled in response to signal received by the light receiving part. The timing belt is equipped with the timing display parts at the specified intervals and the light reflected or transmitted by the timing display parts is detected to control timing and transfer points of time.
