PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultraviolet-absorbing resin composition having good dispersibility in a resin, free from the troubles of the dissipation, decomposition and bleeding in processing and the bleeding during the use over a long period, containing an ultraviolet absorber harmless to human body and enabling the formulation to other resins without deteriorating the physical properties of the resins. SOLUTION: The ultraviolet absorber composition is produced by dissolving and uniformly dispersing one or more ultraviolet absorbers selected from 1,1- bis-[2-hydroxy-3-(2H-benzotriazol-2-yl)-5-(2-hydroxyethyl)-phenyl]methane, 2-(2'- hydroxy-5'-methylphenyl)benzotriazole, 5-chloro-2-(2'-hydroxy-3',5'-di-tert- butylphenyl)benzotriazole, 2,4-dihydroxybenzophenone and 2-hydroxy-4- octyloxybenzophenone in a lactone polymer or dissolving or dispersing the ultraviolet absorber in a lactone monomer and polymerizing the monomer to uniformly disperse the ultraviolet absorber in the lactone polymer.
