PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carrying device for use in assembling a vehicle, separately from structural members of a building in which the carrying device is installed, having self-operated construction and maintaining high accuracy. SOLUTION: A carrying device unit 10 has a preset-size skeleton part which includes conveyor parts 30a, 30b and in which hangers 20a, 20b are movable to a predetermined direction. It is provided separately from the structural members of the building in which the carrying device unit 10 is installed and has self-operated construction. The carrying device comprises the plurality of preset-length carrying device units 10 connected to one another in the direction of moving the hangers. In the skeleton part of the carrying device unit 10, the return conveyor part 30b is provided right on the working conveyor part 30a.
