PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid drawing material which has a practical strength and simultaneously has a good color-developing property. SOLUTION: This solid drawing material comprising at least a resin, an extender and a colorant is characterized by further using a metal hydroxide solid solution represented by formula (1): Mg<SB>1-</SB>XM<SP>2+</SP>X(OH)<SB>2</SB>...(1) (M<SP>2</SP>is at least one divalent metal ion selected from the group consisting of Mn<SP>2+</SP>, Fe<SP>2+</SP>, Co<SP>2+</SP>, Ni<SP>2+</SP>, CU<SP>2+</SP>and Zn<SP>2+</SP>; X denotes a range of 0.01≤X<0.5).
