PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage method by which, in storing (meth)acrylic acid and its ester in a storage tank, lowering in qualities by discoloration and polymerization is decreased without danger of explosion. SOLUTION: In this method for storing the (meth)acrylic acid or its ester in the storage tank, molecular oxygen is added to a vapor-phase part in the storage tank and the composition of the vapor-phase is made outside the range of an explosion limit. Especially, the molecular oxygen concentration in the vapor-phase in the storage tank is regulated to be≥2 vol.% and≤18 vol.% in the method for storing the (meth)acrylic acid or its ester.
