A cosmetic contains (a) a guar-hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride of the galactomannan 2- hydroxypropyltrimethylammonium chloride ether class having average mol. wt. 600,000-2,000,000 and charge density 0.4-1.0meq/g; (b) a polymer formed from a quat. ammonium salt of hydroxypropylcellulose modified with a trimethylammonium-substituted epoxide (ICNI Polyquaternium-10); and (c) a surfactant, and optionally conventional ingredients.
