BALANCE WEIGHT FOR DRUM TYPE WASHING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A balance weight for a drum type washing machine is provided to cut down installation cost by manufacturing the balance weight with curing cement in a housing without additional installation, and to prevent damage of the drum washing machine from separation of the balance weight by restricting displacement of cement with arranging a separation preventing rib in the housing. CONSTITUTION: A balance weight(70) of a drum type washing machine is composed of a housing(72) integrally protruded in the front of a tub cover(55) and opened in the front; cement(74) injected to the housing through the front part and cured to keep balance of a tub(54); and a separation preventing rib(76) arranged in the housing to prevent solid cement from being displaced from the housing against vibration during washing. The balance weight corrects eccentricity of the tub according to electric components installed in the tub by regulating the amount of cement.
