PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographing device desirable in terms of outside appearance and design, prevented from causing parallax and realizing accurate photography. SOLUTION: An electronic camera, where the image of a subject is formed on an image pickup part 12 by a photographic lens 11 and the formed image is fetched as image data in the image pickup part 12, is provided with a lens cover 6 protecting the lens 11 so as to open/close on the subject side of the lens 11, and provided with a convex mirror 20 reflecting the image of the subject on the cover 6. Therefore, not only the camera desirable in terms of outside appearance and design is obtained but also a photographer can confirm a photographic range by reflecting his (her) own image on the mirror 20 of the cover 6 in the case of self-photographing that the photographer himself (herself) is photographed. Both of the image reflected on the mirror 20 of the cover 6 and the image taken as a picture by the image pickup part 12 are positioned on the same optical axis 13, whereby the optical axes 13 of both of them are aligned.
