PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical film which, being an optical film that has a preferable color and that excels in long-term preservability as a protection film for a polarizing plate, has little surface reflection, which has no shining in the image of a liquid crystal display device, and that whose surface hardness is high and which is hard to be scratched. SOLUTION: This is an optical film which has a cellulose resin type film as a base material. Under a standard light C prescribed by JIS-Z-8720, with four resin films stacked together, by using the method of JIS-Z-8729, b* value found from the tristimulus value in 10 degree visual field XYZ system is 0 to 3.0.
