PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specimen cup holder suitable for easily and repetitively hold, in a highly stable state with accuracy of position, a specimen cup, especially formed of elongated dielectric blocks having multiple specimen wells, used for a measuring device utilizing total reflection light. SOLUTION: The specimen cup holder is provided with a penetration hole 33 for bringing upward the specimen well 23 of the dielectric block 21, a holder main body 31 having a lower receiving surface for receiving an upper smooth surface of the dielectric block 21, and slide members 36 and 37 for respectively pressuring left and right flanges 24 and 25 of the dielectric block 21 and positioning the specimen cup 20 at a predetermined location of the lower receiving surface of the holder main body 31 of the specimen cup 20.
