<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foot switch for a surgical microscope which prevents an operator from having a change in operability and the feel of operation even if the direction of the foot switch is changed. <P>SOLUTION: The foot switch 91 for the surgical microscope has a plurality of operation switches 95 to 98 for operating a plurality of functions and a foot placing section 94 to enable the operator to place his or her foot thereon in operating the switches. The above microscope has the foot placing section 94 which is formed to a shape symmetrical with the vertical and horizontal lines and is formed higher with respect to a floor surface than the switch actuating points of the operation switches and the operation switches 95 to 98 arranged symmetrically with the vertical and horizontal lines with respect to the foot placing section. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
