PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge device simplified in constitution by suitably performing ink drying process for a paper sheet discharged after image formation according to the print status. SOLUTION: This paper discharge device is provided with a paper discharge port 15 for discharging a paper sheet P after image formation, a final paper discharge part 5 disposed on the downstream side thereof, a paper sheet intermediate transfer means 1 disposed in the intermediate position between the above discharge port and discharge part and having circulating paper transfer plates 1a to 1d for placing the paper sheet P thereon and transferring the same, and a driving part 2 for driving the paper sheet intermediate transfer means 1 to circulate between the discharge port 15 and the final paper discharge part 5 in synchronization with the timing of discharging the paper sheet P discharged from the discharge port 15.
