PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform a reliable appearance inspection at a low cost by automatically performing the appearance inspection of a rubber plug 1. SOLUTION: This device has an alignment means 20 for aligning substantially cylindrical rubber plugs 1 in the same attitude, carrying means 31 and 34 for carrying each rubber plug 1 to a preliminarily specified inspection position while keeping the attitude of the aligned rubber plug 1, imaging means 110 and 120 for taking the image of the rubber plug 1 carried to the inspection position, and a determination means for determining the quality of molding based on the image data acquired by the imaging means 110 and 120. The imaging means 120 has a mirror 121 for guiding the image of the dead angle part of the rubber plug 1 so as to obtain a plurality of images from the same rubber plug 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
