PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat storage tank capable of reducing thickness of a mixed layer by suppressing turbulent flow inside it to improve heat storage efficiency. SOLUTION: An upper part main pipe 11 is arranged along the horizontal direction in a central part in an upper part of a heat storage tank main body 10 and a plurality of upper part branch pipes 13 are connected with its both sides along the horizontal direction. A lower part main pipe 21 is arranged along the horizontal direction in a central part in a lower part thereof, and a plurality of lower part branch pipes 23 are connected with its both sides along the horizontal direction. The upper part main pipe 11 and the lower part main pipe 21 are mutually connected by a circulation passage 32 having a pump 31, and a heat exchanger 33 is provided. They are connected with cooling facility or heating facility through feed and exhaust passages 36, 37 having opening and closing valves 34, 35. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
