PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide lubrication structure for a drive section of a transmission oil pump with excellent lubricity and lightened transmission and reduced agitation resistance. SOLUTION: The oil pump drive section drives an oil pump 21 through a drive sprocket 24 rotated by a rotary shaft 17, a chain 25 and a driven sprocket 23 to supply oil 40 in an oil pan 6 to every portion in a housing 5. The lubrication structure for the oil pump drive section comprises a chain cover 30 having a side portion 31 and a bottom portion 32, receiving a lower part region of the driven sprocket 23 and the chain 25 and perforated with a small aperture 34 in the side portion 31.
