WATER-ABSORBING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-absorbing material excellent in the water absorbing amount and wet feeling, withstanding washing at a high temperature which laundrymen carry out and excellent in reutilizing properties, and to provide a method for producing the water-absorbing material. SOLUTION: The fabric-like water-absorbing material is composed of fibers and has≥10 cc porosity per 100 cm2, 1 mm-20 mm thickness and≤6% shrinkage factors in length and width after 10 times-repeated industrial washing. The main fiber constituting the fabric-like water-absorbing material is a synthetic fiber having 0.01-2 dtex fineness. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
