PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary valve, simple in structure, causing no problem in vibration of a rotary shaft, eliminating the need of selection of material quality special for a rotary blade and a casing to lower the manufacturing cost, and surely adjusting the gap between the rotary blade and the casing even during operation. SOLUTION: This rotary valve includes a casing 1 having a supply part 1a, a discharge part 1b and a drum part 1c, formed cylindrical and having a conical inner peripheral surface, side plates 4 covering openings of both sides of the casing 1, a plurality of rotary blades 3 fixed to a rotary shaft 2 in the drum part 1c of the casing 1 and having a conical outer peripheral surface, a side wall 5 formed integrally with the plurality of rotary blades 3 and having a conical outer peripheral surface, and positioning means 15, 18 for positioning the rotary shaft 2 movably in the axial direction with the plurality of rotary blades 3 put in the state of freely rotating.
