PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire air pressure-monitoring device by which tire air pressure can easily be checked from the outside when a user performs a starting check before getting on an automobile. SOLUTION: This tire air pressure-monitoring device is equipped with a sensor unit 16 which is arranged in each valve 14b of four tires 14 fitted on a vehicle, and generates an output indicating the air pressures of the tire, and a monitoring unit which is arranged in a cabin, and determines whether the tire air pressure is normal or not by comparing the output transmitted from the sensor unit with a specified value. At the same time, an LED 16i which is arranged at the sensor unit 16 in a manner to be recognizable from the outside. The monitoring unit operates an indicator in the cabin, and at the same time, makes the LED 16i emit light when the tire air pressure is determined abnormal. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
