<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which can easily produce a carbon nanotube cathode provided with a plurality of small diameter carbon nanotubes. <P>SOLUTION: The method comprises etching a block copolymer layer 102, selectively removing a granular region 102a to form the block copolymer layer 102 on which a plurality of pores are formed, etching a base material 101 using the obtained block copolymer layer 102 as a mask to form the plurality of pores 101a on the surface of the base material 101, and then forming a catalyst metal layer 103 in the pores 101a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
