PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inform a user of shortage or run-out of an ink to be supplied. SOLUTION: A single flag vane 88 moves along with passing of a position of a pressing channel 50 in a supply channel (the position follows the last ink stick in the supply channel). Optical sensors 39, 40 detect the movement of the flag vane 88 so that the condition of the quantity of the ink such as the supplying conditions of 'shortage of the ink' and 'run-out of the ink' is detected.
