PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent collapse by relieving soil pressure applied on a wall body or a wall face of an excavation trench face, a retaining wall face, a slope or the like which are very simply constructed regardless of an excavation or leveling up process needing to be previously performed in conventional construction methods. SOLUTION: A soil improvement method relieves the soil pressure on the wall body or the wall face by creating a disk-like improved body having an arbitrary angle in the ground of a sideward part of the wall body or the wall face desired to relieve the soil pressure by jetting a high pressure waterjet containing hardening liquid or hardening in a prescribed direction by inserting a rod into the ground.
