<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train time retrieving device for automatically retrieving and exhibiting a recommended departure time of a point of departure together with using train line information by designating a desired arrival time of the destination. <P>SOLUTION: Required train line time information is stored in a train line time information database 12 in advance. At the time of retrieving the train line and the time, a departure station and a destination station are inputted, so that line and interchange station retrieving means 13, 14 retrieve information of the database 12, to extract a via line and an interchange station. By inputting a desired arrival date and time of the destination station, a train time retrieving means 16 goes back to the departure station from the destination station via the interchange station, to extract proper boarding date and time at the departure station and a using train kind.
