PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmitting and receiving module that uses an optical fiber-attached LD or PD applicable generally and obtainable at a low cost, that can connect transmitting light from the LD and receiving light to the PD in an optical waveguide easily with high accuracy, and that can reduce optical crosstalk. SOLUTION: The optical transmitting and receiving module is characterized in that it has an optical waveguide with a wavelength selective filter mounted in the Y branching part, a light emitting element and a light receiving element, and that these two elements are connected to the optical waveguide by means of an optical fiber.
