PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transmission rate of image data and image recording operation efficiency as to a positive type recording medium which requires color data at a peripheral edge portions of an image, in particular ablation data at the peripheral edge portions of the image. SOLUTION: Since ablation data in a region other than an image region necessary for a positive type printing plate are appended on the side of a printing plate automatic exposure device, a problem with a transmission time of job data from the PC 100 being slowed because of the ablation data is solved and then image-recording operations can be made more efficient. Furthermore, because this ablation data are provided with the non-exposure part at a region corresponding to the peripheral edge portions of the printing plate, light does not irradiate the leading end chuck or the trailing end chuck, and the ablation data can be made compatible with interlaced scanning.
