PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by making an electric vehicle drivable with a similar operating procedure to that of the ignition switch of a vehicle equipped with an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A start circuit 20 of an electric car is constituted of a contactor 24 supplying electric power from a drive battery to a drive motor 1, a relay 29, and an ignition switch 27. When the ignition switch 27 is at off position, the contact 24 is turned off and goes into a drive-impossible state. When the ignition switch 27 is at a start position, both the contact 24 and relay 29 are turned on, and drivable state is achieved. When the ignition switch 27 is returned from the start position to the on-state, the contact 24 is held to the on-state by the self-holding effect of the relay 20 and the drivable state is held. |
