METHOD FOR RECOVERING CHROMIUM FROM ELECTRIC FURNACE SLAG

PURPOSE: A method for recovering chromium from electric furnace slag is provided to recover into the molten steel a valuable metal of chromium a large quantity of which is contained in slag generated when manufacturing molten stainless steel in an electric furnace. CONSTITUTION: In a manufacturing method of chromium contained stainless steel comprising the melting process using an electric furnace, the method for recovering chromium from electric furnace slag comprises a step of injecting 0.27 to 0.5 kg/(90 tons of molten iron) of ferrosilicon into slag generated after melting the stainless steel; and agitating the molten iron and slag for 3 to 9 minutes after blowing an argon gas into slag in a flow rate of 10 to 40 Nm¬3/hr.
