BIOLOGICAL INFORMATION MEASURING INSTRUMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent pulse wave information, etc., from being distorted by controlling superimposed cuff pressure of pulse waves at a proper responding speed.

SOLUTION: This instrument is provided with: a pressurizing means for pressurizing a cuff; a pressure reduction means for reducing the pressure of the cuff; a cuff pressure detection means for detecting the cuff pressure; a control means for controlling the pressurizing means or the pressure reduction means; and a means for detecting the biological signal of a site to be measured from the cuff based on the variation of the cuff pressure. The control means comprises: a variation measuring means for measuring the variation of the cuff at prescribed time intervals; a correction quantity calculating means for calculating a required correction quantity from a difference between a result obtained by the variation measuring means and a prescribed control target value and a prescribed feedback gain; a control value deciding means for deciding a control value based on this correction quantity; and a control value switching means for switching the control value. The prescribed time interval H is set to be H>0.5f with respect to a longest pulse period (f) being a measuring object, and the correction quantity calculated by the correction quantity calculation means is restricted.
