Positive presensitized lithographic printing plate comprising a support and a light-sensitive layer formed thereon which contains (a) an acrylic or urethane-based high molecular weight compound which is insoluble in water but soluble in an alkaline aqueous solution, (b) an alkali-soluble novolac resin, either the high molecular weight compound or the resin providing dispersed phases having a maximum major axis of 0.1 to 0.8 mu m and an average major axis of 0.05 to 0.6 mu m, and a process for producing the same.
