PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate removal of a mirror from the back of a lid of a compact case for collecting the refuse according to type in discarding. SOLUTION: In this compact case, a rear wall part of the peripheral wall of a lid is pivoted on a rear wall part 4 of the peripheral wall of a case body, and the mirror is attached to the back of the lid. A short cylinder 27 is hung down from the lower surface of the top plate 22 of the lid, a frame 29 is fitted to the outer surface of the short cylinder, and an inward flange 28 is attached to the lower end of the frame. The mirror 30 is fitted to the inside of the short cylinder with the lower surface of the outer peripheral part of the mirror supported by the inward flange 28, and a handle 36 is hung down from a part of the frame, whereby the frame is detached by forcibly pulling down the handle to remove the mirror 30 from the short cylinder.
