The detection of antigens via an elisa-sandwich test comprises contacting of an animal faeces sample with antibodies fixed to a solid support recognising Fasciola hepatica antigens with addition of marked antibodies serving the same function. An antigen-antibody complex forms, and reaction is revealed by addition of a specific substrate for the marker.
