PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of suppressing the adhesion of dusts removed from the surface of an optical member in the camera again to the surface of the optical member, and to provide an imaging element unit therefor. SOLUTION: The camera comprises an imaging element 27 for obtaining an image signal corresponding to an illuminating light on a photoelectric conversion surface, an imaging lens 12a for introducing a subject image on the photoelectric conversion surface of the imaging element, a dustproof member 21 having a transparent part of a region having a predetermined spread from an own center in a radial direction in a circular to polygonal shape plate as a whole, and arranged oppositely at a predetermined interval on the front surface side of the imaging element, a shaking member 22 arranged at the peripheral edge of the dustproof member to impart the shaking to the member; a sealing structure constituted to seal the space at the peripheral edge sides of the imaging element and the dustproof member, so as to constitute the space at the site formed so that the imaging element and the dustproof member are opposed, and an image signal processing circuit for converting the image signal acquired by the imaging element into the signal of a recording state.
