PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile apparatus in a mobile communication system capable of more efficiently confirming the propriety of a PCH (polling channel) waiting timing so as to enhance a completion rate of arrived calls when the mobile apparatus awaits a call in an intermittent reception state.

SOLUTION: An own station group number calculation section 31 of the mobile apparatus 1 reads a structure of a control channel on the basis of contents of notice information in the control channel transmitted from an in-zone base station and calculates its own station group number. An own mobile station number confirmation section 34 receives a corresponding page signal on the basis of the own station group number calculated by the own station group number calculation section 31 and confirms whether or not the page signal includes an own mobile station number. An other-station group number calculation section 36 calculates the group number from other mobile station numbers when no own mobile station number exists. A group number comparison section 37 receives the notice information again and reaches a standby state when the calculated group number is dissident with the own station group number calculated at the start of the mobile apparatus.
