<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device employing a developer supply method that realizes a reduction in drive torque, the miniaturization of the device by a simple structure, and a cost reduction and to provide a process cartridge and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 4 has: a development container 8 storing developer 7, a developer carrier 5 which transports the developer 7 while carrying it thereon, and a developer supply member 20 provided opposite the developer carrier 5. A voltage is applied to the developer supply member so that a potential difference between the developer supply member and the developer carrier is equal to or higher than a discharge initiation voltage and a current having a polarity that is the same as charged developer flows from the developer supply member to the developer carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
