PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester urethane excellent in biodegradability while solving the problems associated with well-known techniques. SOLUTION: The polyester urethane is obtained by reacting a polyoxalate diol represented by formula (1): HO-[-ROCOCOO-]<SB>n</SB>-ROH (wherein R is a 3-12C alkylene group optionally containing a branched or alicyclic structure; and n is the degree of polymerization of the polyoxalate), a diisocyanate, and a chain extender.
