A method of purifying waste water containing phenolics

A process for cleaning waste water from the food processing industry, especially olive oil production, where the waste water varying amounts of water and organic substances, comprises a first biological treatment using microorganisms, a mechanical proce to separate solids and oils and selective adsorption of phenolic components using absorption resin in an ion-exchange process. An Independent claim is also included for a bioreactor for carrying out the method above.
