PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device is provided to dispose a curved light condensing sheet having light scattering characteristics higher than a straight light condensing sheet to a lower part of a protecting sheet, thereby removing the moire problem even when the protecting sheet has a defect. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes a backlight assembly(100), a mold frame(200) for receiving the backlight assembly, and a liquid crystal display panel(300) disposed on the mold frame for displaying images. The backlight assembly has a lamp unit(110), a light guide panel(120), a reflection plate(130), a diffusion sheet(140), first and second light condensing sheets(150,160), a protecting sheet(170) and a reflecting/polarizing sheet(180). The diffusion sheet distributes the light incident from the light guide panel to prevent the local condensing of the light, and reduce an inclination angle of light toward the first light condensing sheet. The first and second light condensing sheets have predetermined arrangement of triangular cylinder shaped prisms on each top surface, wherein the first light condensing sheet has a straight type prism arrangement and the other one has a curved prism sheet arrangement, both missing each other by a predetermined angle. The light passing through the first and second light condensing sheets advances normally, so that the luminance distribution of the protecting sheet becomes uniform. |
