A memory device comprises an Internet cache and an Internet index. A computing apparatus comprises a crawler, an indexer, a transactional score generator, a category assignor and a search server in communication with the Internet cache and Internet index. A user interface is provided in communication with the search server. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a method for searching a distributed database; (2) a method for categorizing documents; and (3) a method for categorizing resulting pages into categories.
