<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biological activity measuring apparatus capable of measuring biological activities without any contact with a subject or making him uncomfortable. <P>SOLUTION: A brain activity measuring apparatus A as the biological activity measuring apparatus for measuring the biological activities which indicate a brain function as a biological function comprises a control part 1 performing control and processing related with both the shining of light including at least irradiating light of a predetermined wavelength and the measurement of brain activities as the biological activities such as the detection of reflected light reflected at a brain according to the irradiating light; an irradiation part 2 for irradiating a predetermined section of a region to be measured, a predetermined region in the brain, part of the body of the subject P, with the light including at least irradiating light from a location separated from the subject P by a predetermined distance; and a detection part 3 for detecting the intensity of the reflected light at the location separated from the subject by the predetermined distance and outputting a reflected light detection signal indicating the intensity of the reflected light of the predetermined wavelength. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
