<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable photoelectric conversion apparatus at low cost. <P>SOLUTION: In the photoelectric conversion apparatus, a number of one- conductivity-type granular crystal semiconductors 2 are provided on a substrate 1 having one electrode 1' layer for joining to the substrate 1, an insulator 3 is filled between the granular crystal semiconductor 2 for providing a reverse- conductivity-type semiconductor layer 4 on the granular crystal semiconductors 2, and the other electrode is connected to the reverse-conductivity-type semiconductor layer 4. In this case, the granular crystal semiconductors 2 are made of silicon, and the insulator 3 is made of the mixture or reactant of plysiloxane and polycarbosilane and an inorganic filler, thus forming the stable, reliable, and appropriate insulator 3, by burying a portion between the granular crystal semiconductors 2, preventing defects such as cracks and peel-off, and hence providing the reliable photoelectric conversion apparatus. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
